Review: Sugar’s Delight

Image

Sugar’s Delight is a short ‘n’ sweet yuri kinetic novel from an English-language doujin group.

Story 6/10

It’s hard to review this as it’s extremely short (under one hour) and there isn’t really a plot to speak of. The writing also isn’t that great, with some weird mixing of tenses. But it’s just so cute!

There are no choices to make, and I breezed through the scenes, but I was left with a smile on my face at the end of it.

Characters 7/10

sd1

Ichigo is the cute, naive girl working her dream job at a bakery and trying to ignore her boss’s teasing while dealing with her own blossoming feelings.

sd2

Chocoa is the more mature and experienced girl with dark hair and big boobs, of course. She’s always calm and collected, and loves making Ichigo blush by saying naughty things with a completely straight face. But her teasing and blunt remarks mask a soft centre.

Art 8/10

The artwork in this is great for a freeware game, with closeups and changing facial expressions to keep things interesting.

H-Scenes 5/10

If you think the usage of food during sex is hot, then look no further. If, on the other hand, the idea of sticking cake up a girl’s hoo-ha makes you nauseous, you might want to give this a miss. I’m all for cake and chocolate going into my mouth but nowhere else thanks, so personally it was a bit of a miss for me. The non-food stuff was very nice though.

Sound/Music 8/10

Sugar’s Delight is unvoiced, but it has some cute midi music that I really enjoyed as it reminded me of some old-school doujin games I played back in the day.

Overall 34/50

Sugar’s Delight is a cute and silly distraction, and it’s free to boot. Yuri fans, go download it now!
